Are you an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer with a passion for validating complex business rules, integration workflows, and enterprise applications?

Our client is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to validate business rule logic, document processing, integration workflows, and end-to-end business processes across a complex enterprise platform. While the primary focus of this role is Quality Assurance, it operates with the breadth and depth of a Systems Analyst, requiring an analytical mindset to understand complex system interactions, business rules, and broader application behaviour.

The successful candidate will work closely with Backend Developers on business rule validation and collaborate with the QA Lead on test suite development to ensure the stability, functionality, and effectiveness of the platform.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance & Testing

• Create comprehensive test cases for business rule logic.
• Execute manual testing of complex rule scenarios and rule combinations.
• Test approval workflows and authorisation rules.
• Test business rule configurations across multiple regions.
• Test document processing accuracy and validation results.
• Test end-to-end workflows combining all platform components.
• Verify data consistency across system components.
• Report defects with detailed reproduction steps and supporting context.

Collaboration & Integration

• Coordinate with Backend Developers on business rule validation.
• Support the QA Lead during integration testing activities.
• Contribute test cases to the automated test suite.
• Work closely with development teams to resolve defects and improve solution quality.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant cloud or software engineering certifications will be advantageous.
• ISTQB Certified Tester or ISEB Software Testing Certification will be beneficial.

Experience & Technical Skills

• Minimum 5+ years' experience in Quality Assurance, testing web applications and APIs.
• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Strong manual testing and test case design skills.
• Understanding of business rules and validation logic.
• SQL experience for data verification and test scenario setup.
• Basic API testing experience.
• Experience contributing to automated test suites.
• Strong defect reporting and root cause analysis skills.
• Experience using Git version control.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
• Ability to communicate effectively with development teams regarding testing findings.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell, or advanced Excel/text manipulation tools for parsing logs and preparing test data, will be highly advantageous.
