An innovative and fast-growing design-and-build organisation is seeking a talented Structural Engineer to join its multidisciplinary engineering team in Ndabeni, Cape Town.

About the Role:

This role is ideal for an engineer with 3-5 years, structural experience and a strong grounding in analysis, modelling, and design. You will contribute to both conventional and proprietary building systems, providing safe, efficient, and technically sound solutions across a wide range of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform structural analysis and design using FEM techniques and specialised engineering software.

  • Prepare, verify, and present structural calculations, reports, and design specifications.

  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, draughtsmen, and construction teams to ensure structural integrity and design accuracy.

  • Conduct structural assessments and site inspections during design and construction phases.

  • Ensure all designs comply with relevant SANS codes, building regulations, and project standards.

  • Support construction teams by resolving design queries and proposing practical, innovative engineering solutions.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Civil or Structural Engineering (required).

  • 3-5 years of experience in structural design and analysis.

  • Proficiency in FEM tools such as Autodesk Robot, ETABS, Prokon, or similar.

  • Strong understanding of SANS requirements and local construction methods.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team.

  • Strong analytical mindset, with close attention to detail.

  • Progress toward ECSA registration will be advantageous.
