SALES REPRESENTATIVE / RESPIRATORY APPLICATIONS SPECIALIST

A leading healthcare organisation is seeking a dynamic and clinically focused Sales Representative / Respiratory Applications Specialist to drive growth across specialised respiratory and medical device portfolios within the healthcare sector.

This role combines medical device sales, clinical support, customer engagement, and technical product expertise within a highly specialised healthcare environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong relationship-building ability, healthcare industry exposure, and experience supporting clinicians and hospital environments.

THE ROLE

You will be responsible for driving sales growth while providing clinical, technical, and operational support across specialised respiratory and medical device solutions.

The role requires a strong combination of commercial capability, clinical engagement, technical support, and customer relationship management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales & Business Development

  • Achieving and exceeding territory sales targets across assigned product portfolios
  • Developing and executing territory sales strategies aligned to business objectives
  • Identifying new business opportunities and expanding existing accounts
  • Managing full capital equipment sales cycles including:
    • Prospecting
    • Quotations
    • Negotiations
    • Closing
  • Supporting cross-selling and upselling opportunities across product ranges

Clinical & Product Support

  • Providing product demonstrations, training, and in-servicing to healthcare professionals
  • Supporting clinical procedures and ensuring optimal product utilisation
  • Acting as a subject matter expert across respiratory and specialised medical device solutions
  • Supporting urgent clinical queries and technical concerns

Respiratory Applications Support

  • Providing on-site support during respiratory procedures and OPD sessions
  • Assisting with setup, troubleshooting, and procedural guidance
  • Ensuring equipment functionality prior to procedures and clinical sessions
  • Supporting workshops, evaluations, and product training initiatives
  • Training clinicians and nursing staff on systems and accessories where required

Customer Relationship Management

  • Building strong relationships with:
    • Clinicians
    • Nursing staff
    • Procurement teams
    • Hospital management
  • Developing and maintaining Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) within the territory
  • Managing customer queries, complaints, and after-sales support effectively
  • Driving customer satisfaction, retention, and long-term engagement

Portfolio & Market Development

  • Promoting the full solution offering including:
    • Capital equipment
    • Consumables
    • Service contracts
  • Supporting product launches, evaluations, and market growth initiatives
  • Monitoring competitor activity and healthcare market trends
  • Providing market intelligence and customer feedback to management

Administration & Compliance

  • Maintaining accurate sales pipelines, forecasts, and CRM records
  • Preparing quotations, tenders, and pricing proposals
  • Supporting stock management and order processing where applicable
  • Ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, ethical standards, and governance requirements

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Key Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in:
    • Medical Sciences
    • Nursing
    • Biomedical Engineering
    • Sales
    • Or related field
  • Minimum 3–5 years' experience in medical device sales or related healthcare environments
  • Proven track record achieving or exceeding sales targets
  • Experience within:
    • Endoscopy
    • Infection prevention
    • Capital equipment
    • Respiratory product environments
  • Strong understanding of healthcare systems, hospital environments, and procurement processes
  • Experience working with healthcare professionals in both public and private sectors
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building capability
  • Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory
  • Valid driver's licence

Advantageous Skills

  • Clinical or technical certifications
  • Experience supporting respiratory procedures and OPD environments
  • Hands-on clinical applications support experience
