.NET Developer

Location: Cape Town (Bellville South)
Contract Duration: 12 Months

An established organisation is seeking an experienced .NET Developer to join its technology team on a 12-month contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Full Stack Developer who is passionate about developing high-performance enterprise applications, writing clean and maintainable code, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with systems analysts, project managers and business stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives.
• Participate in planning, requirements gathering, deployment and rollout of enterprise-wide systems.
• Conduct system analysis and contribute to solution design specifications.
• Develop high-quality Full Stack applications using C# and .NET technologies.
• Develop front-end and back-end components in line with technical specifications.
• Implement business logic, data access layers and database integrations.
• Develop and maintain Web APIs.
• Perform software unit testing, system testing and troubleshooting.
• Identify bugs and implement fixes and enhancements.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Create scalable, efficient and maintainable solutions using appropriate design patterns.
• Coordinate the testing and release of system changes.
• Assist with application maintenance, preventative maintenance planning and system enhancements.
• Perform system administration related to user access and system configuration.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation.

Minimum Requirements

• 3-Year Diploma in Software Engineering or a related field.
• 3–5 years' experience in a software development environment at Developer level.
• Experience with ASP.NET web development.
• Strong understanding of software development principles and best practices.
• Experience developing enterprise applications.

Contract Requirements

• Candidates must be based and residing in Cape Town.
• Must have reliable and uninterrupted internet connectivity at home.
• Must be available to work onsite in Bellville South approximately four days per week, or as required by project needs.
• Must be fully dedicated to the engagement and may not be assigned to other client projects during the contract period.
• Required hardware and standard Microsoft Office software will be provided.
• Candidates must make provision for the annual closure period, as non-working days during this period will not be covered.
