Are you an experienced Human Capital leader with a passion for developing people, driving organisational performance, and partnering with executive leadership to shape business success?

Our client, a growing organisation operating within a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment, is seeking an experienced Head of Human Capital to lead and evolve its people function while driving a high-performance culture aligned to business objectives.

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded Human Capital professional who enjoys balancing strategic leadership with hands-on execution while building organisational capability, strengthening leadership, and embedding practical people practices that support long-term business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the Human Capital strategy aligned to business objectives.
  • Partner with executive leadership to provide strategic people advice and support key business decisions.
  • Lead organisational design, workforce planning, and succession planning initiatives.
  • Develop and implement talent acquisition, performance management, leadership development, and employee retention strategies.
  • Drive organisational development and change management initiatives that improve business effectiveness.
  • Foster a high-performance culture through effective leadership coaching and employee development.
  • Champion employee engagement, diversity, equity, inclusion, and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with labour legislation, Human Capital governance, and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Oversee payroll governance and ensure compliance with Employment Equity, Skills Development, and B-BBEE requirements.
  • Develop meaningful HR reporting and people analytics to support business decision-making.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Human Capital team while promoting operational excellence.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management or a related field.
  • Honours or Master's Degree will be advantageous.
  • Professional registration with SABPP, HPCSA, or a similar professional body will be advantageous.
  • Minimum 10 years' progressive Human Capital experience.
  • At least 5 years' experience in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven experience developing and implementing people strategies aligned to business objectives.
  • Strong experience in organisational design, talent management, workforce planning, and leadership development.
  • Sound knowledge of South African labour legislation and Human Capital governance.
  • Experience within FMCG, manufacturing, or similar operational environments will be advantageous.
