Duties and responsibilities:

  • Provide overall system and team management for the Merch ERP Product team
  • Collaborate with the business to understand the business requirements and translate them into business and technology requirements that can be fulfilled by internal solutions
  • Provide business and system process guidance for building out and evolving the Planning Product/Service
  • Identify integration requirements between systems to achieve business needs
  • Development/Maintenance and implementation of new products/systems based on business and technical requirements identified
  • Conduct testing with users to ensure that the product meets the needs identified
  • Conduct train the trainer and business demonstrations for senior users (managers and executives) if and when required
  • Correspondence with the business and users surrounding implementation/rollout
  • Collect, process and report on data for the business
  • Advise the business on new enhancements to existing products
  • In depth knowledge of planning and the solutions within a retail environment to be able to carry out these tasks and further assist with support
  • Ensuring the company security policy is implemented and maintained throughout the systems

Qualifications and experience:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification
  • Minimum of 8 10 years relevant experience, including people and financial management experience
  • Experience in Retail, particularly in the planning disciplines
  • Exposure to Retail Merchandise Planning and Buying business processes.
  • Experience working on retail merchant solutions (e.g JDA PMM)
  • Involvement in end-to-end SDLC (including Agile & DevOps experience)
  • A strong commitment to professional service delivery
  • The ability to formulate and drive strategic changes to the IT landscape
