IT Specialist Team Leader

Contract position

Minimum requirements:

• Relevant tertiary qualification (min NQF6) with MCSE/MCITP/TIL Foundations
• At least 5+ years working IT experience preferably in a Manufacturing environment.
• Servers and Domains administration experience.
• Extensive MS Computer knowledge.
• SQL knowledge both TSQL and SQL administration.
• Experience to Cisco networking equipment.
• Exposure to Palo Alto firewalls.
• Experience on running projects.
• Must be prepared to work shifts (rotational day & night)
• Must be able to analyse manual administrative processes and recommend automation to improve task efficiency

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring security updates are current across all systems.
• Running network tests and testing firewalls, creating patches or implementing new protocols as needed.
• Analysing network systems and structures to ensure the most secure approach is being employed.
• Developing systems for specialized security requirements based on specific company needs.
• Optimizing systems to ensure the network is supportive and responsive.
• Studying devices and implementing the best security protocols for everything from cell phones to tablets to laptops.
• Liaising with complementary departments to ensure adherence to security protocols.
• Monitoring security administrations to ensure best practices.
• Server and desktop support and maintenance
• Manage and Maintain IT Infrastructure
• Like: Servers Management, Patches, and setup (AD, DNS, DHCP, NPAS)
• VMWARE and Hyper V Management, Patches and Setup
• Veeam Management, Patches and Setup also Veeam Cloud Connect.
• UPS Management and support.
• Cisco Network Management and support (VLANs Setup)
• SCCM, Patch my PC, Syxsense, Sophos and MS EDR
• Palo Alto firewall Management and WAN Management TCP/IP, UDP, RDP
