Job purpose:
The Infrastructure Project Manager (Technology), role is responsible for planning and overseeing the delivery of IT projects to ensure completion in a timely fashion and within budget. This is a very senior role, due to the incumbent having a higher level of expertise, furnished by an in-depth knowledge of project management and extraordinary skills in the discipline. The
Project managers role is to plan and designate project resources, prepare budgets, monitor progress, and keep stakeholders informed the entire way. The Infrastructure Project Manager (Technology) must meet stakeholder expectations and create business value, within the confines of a company's goals and vision.
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or a related field
- 5-8 years of project management and related experience
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred - Experience of managing infrastructure or Infrastructure projects
- A self-starter requiring minimal management input
- Adept at managing, monitoring, and controlling at an aggregate level
- Excellent time management abilities
- Proficiency in conflict resolution and problem-solving techniques
- Strong facilitation, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Skilled in Financial Management
- Skilled in Risk Management
- Skilled in upward communication
