About the job Commercial Manager - Madagascar
Minimum requirements:
- At least 2 years relevant experience, preferably in the Mechanical Services (Mining, Power Generation and or Petro Chemical industries) is preferred.
- The position requires relevant experience in a Contracting and/or Project Management environment preferable in the mechanical, civil or structural field on large capital projects and/or substantial longterm facility maintenance operations.
- This should include experience in the procurement, operational and commercial aspects together with relevant marketing / customer relations exposure.
- The minimum education level would be a relevant tertiary qualification in an engineering, construction management or commercial subject.
- The position requires that the incumbent has a high level of motivation and the ability to work independently in a methodical and accurate manner.
- To Hold a Financial or Engineering Degree.
- Fully conversant in the English language, additional languages will be an advantage.
- Be computer literate on Microsoft Excel and Word
- Work within guidelines and rules
- Be attentive to detail, cooperate and participate in relevant training programs.

Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the provisions and requirements of the contract are understood and adhered to.
- Draw up all Monthly Claims and Invoices
- Draw up any Standing time or Delay Claims
- Ensure that the company's contractual and commercial position is protected and maximized.
- Establish and maintain an accurate measurement system to ensure that all work carried out by the company is recorded and compensated.
- Identify and evaluate any and all additional work.
- Establish and operate an accurate value related assessment of progress at the required intervals and prepare interim and final billings.
- Assess and provide accurate value related input to the financial reporting system.
- Provide input or carry out the planning function on site, depending on the size and staffing of individual contracts.
- Maintain confidentiality of company information.
- Maintenance of files and records.
- Various other general duties.
