Senior Data/ Business Analyst

Key purpose:

The company's Business Analyst would be responsible for bridging the gap between IT and the business using data analytics to assess processes, determine requirements, and deliver data-driven recommendations and reports to executives and stakeholders.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions
• Led ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimisation strategies
• Conducting meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings
• Performing requirements analysis
• Documenting and communicating the results of your efforts
• Effectively communicating your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management
• Gathering critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful reports
• Working closely with clients, technicians and managerial staff
• Ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements
• Updating, implementing and maintaining procedures
• Prioritising initiatives based on business needs and requirements
• Serving as a liaison between stakeholders and users
• Monitoring deliverables and ensuring timely completion of projects

Qualifications and experience:

• Relevant qualification
• 5+ years in a Data Analytics or Data Science environment
• 5 + years experience in data-driven projects
• Experience in the retail sector
• Microsoft Excel
• PowerBi or similar
• Project Management skills
• Must be able to set tasks with deadlines and work towards delivering within timeframes
• Strong cross-functional skills (matrix structure)
• Strong communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Gaming retail/commercial experience favourable
• Knowledge of ICASA and FBP favourable
