Vendor Alliances Director
About the job Vendor Alliances Director
Job purpose:
Leading the management and development of our current vendors and vendor team.
Responsibilities;
- Managing effective business relationships with current and new vendors
- Achievement of annual Vendor targets
- Ensuring effective business plans (vendor plans) are implemented for each product and monitored on an annual basis.
- Ensure each of your team members communicate the plans to the relevant stakeholders in the business at the start of each year
- Introduce and review appropriate new vendors for our market when requested by Group or when approached.
- Defining and communicating targets for the Vendor Management team
- Ensure you and your team understand the full commercials on each product they manage.
- Continuously review vendor performance to ensure appropriate margin, mitigate risk to the Group and drive the most value from our vendors
- Conduct quarterly business reviews internally and externally · Working closely with Country Manager, Channel Director, Group Shared Services Manager to leverage our value-add solutions to drive sales
Minimum requirements:
- Exceptional leader with the ability to motivate a medium-sized team to produce the most value from our vendors
- Demonstrable experience of working with vendors in the IT security sector
- Good relationship building and development skills particularly with vendors
- Exceptional product knowledge and understanding with the ability to translate this knowledge clearly to others
- Ability to review vendor contracts and identify additional vendor value from within those contracts
- Effective problem-solver with the ability to identify improvements and opportunities to drive value for the Company
- Good networking skills and connections within the IT security industry
- Experience of setting stretching targets for team and ensuring that they are met
- Good people management skills, including identification of talent and resolution of issues, to help support The Company in being a great place to work
- Good organisation skills with the ability to manage a busy workload
- Works well with colleagues across the wider organisation
- Good knowledge of Excel and a CRM system
