Contract position
Minimum requirements:
- Minimum 7 years of varied exposure across the IT industry
- Enterprise-scale Wintel stack server operations
- Solid .Net (C#) development experience, with exposure to, and knowledge about, SOLID programming principles.
- Ability to use advanced SQL concepts, including User Defined Functions and User Defined Data Types
- Understand and be able to interpret SQL Query Plans (critical)
- Able to write complex stored procedures
- Application design skills
- Proficiency in web development with good CSS/Sass skills
- Experience with a web-based framework like Angular, React or Vue (critical).
- Exposure to database technologies other than MSSQL (e.g. Oracle, Informix, etc.) will be highly advantageous
- Agile project methodologies
- A deep understanding of databases at the technical level in order to design optimized processes and data structures
- Proficiency in building and consuming APIs (both REST and gRPC), including the use of secure ports and certificates.
- Database technologies other than MSSQL (e.g. Oracle, Informix, etc.)
- Linux (or *Nix)
- Docker and writing of Docker build scripts
- Basic shell scripting in any Windows-based scripting language
- Kafka or other Message queues or Service-bus technologies
- Azure, cloud computing
Responsibilities:
- Manages the storage of all data within the system using a relational database management system
- Operate as an agile software development engineer for real-time fraud detection solutions and their integration across a range of production systems.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to identify and implement best-practice solutions across technologies.
- Develop optimal end-to-end designs that meet both business and technology requirements. (Performance, cost, sustainability, capacity, ROI).
- Consult, interact with, and cooperate with project managers, development teams, and vendors to ensure optimal integration with detection systems.
- Identify possible problem areas across technologies and identify optimal solutions for resolution.
- Provide expert advice to functional/ and non-functional user personnel and project teams on relevant aspects of integration with detection systems.
- Provide expert guidance on the resolution of problems resulting in system outages.
