Credit Vetting Specialist
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct credit checks and vetting on new loan applications according to company policy and regulatory guidelines.
- Input and process applications using the internal loan management system.
- Identify potential credit risks and escalate where necessary.
- Collaborate with the risk, sales, and operations teams to ensure timely processing.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on the system.
- Generate reports and assist with audit or compliance requests when required.
- Provide feedback on system usability and participate in process improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of experience in credit vetting, credit analysis, or a related field.
- Comfortable navigating and working with IT systems or platforms (loan systems preferred).
- Strong analytical and attention-to-detail skills.
- Good written and verbal communication.
- Ability to manage multiple applications simultaneously and work in a deadline-driven environment.
- Qualification in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred but not essential).
