About the job Solution Analyst

Key purpose:

As a Solution Analyst, you will be responsible for developing solutions that work within the framework of the IT environment and meet the requirements defined by our business partners. You'll need to develop programs in VB.Net, ASP.Net and AJAX using Microsoft Office products (Outlook/Excel/Word) to produce reports and communicate with users via email or web-based tools such as SharePoint or Exchange Server.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Ensure successful implementation and embedment of effective DevOps solutions (i.e. SAST, DAST, CWPP, SCA, etc)
  • Assist the Engineering and Development teams to build effective and secure CI/CD pipelines, assisting in the configuration and maintenance of the pipelines - shifting security left
  • Ensure that capabilities are deployed through a CI/CD pipelines with security requirements adhered to before deployment
  • Communicate application security features to the engineering and development teams utilising a triad of people, processes, and technology
  • Advise engineering teams to consider patterns in software security development and best practice, provide recommendations on approach and automation related to security
  • Ensure compliance with Security and Operational risk standards
  • Work with the Cloud team in the engineering of solutions on AWS Cloud using Infrastructure As Code methods such as Terraform and Ansible
  • Proactively monitor and fix vulnerabilities while building a knowledge base
  • Enables cross-cutting solutions by creating and refining interfaces
  • Create complex database queries, scripts, batch jobs and update languages and data structures
  • Develops test cases, performs functional testing on software products, and reviews functional specifications with developers
  • Adheres to the established standards for database management and work on the product test plans
  • Experience with building and managing data warehouses, as well as SQL Server performance tuning and tuning procedures
  • Ability to master and understand the various Microsoft Office Application Development languages, including Visual Basic.Net
  • Monitors changes to make sure that they do not break existing features or functions
  • Works in a cross-functional team to develop innovative solutions to complex problems

Qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelors degree with Business solution Analyst, Engineering or related field required
  • 5 years of experience in the IT field with a strong background in software development and design
  • 7 years of related job experience (DevOps & Security)
  • 5 years experience with Ansible and Terraform
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps tooling in the following spaces:SCA, SAST, DAST, IAST, CWPP and the ability to install and configure the above-mentioned tooling (including integration into CI/CD pipelines)
  • Experience with Financial Service Provider
  • Experience working on Microsoft technologies (MS .NET, C#, ASP.NET, SQL Server) a plus
  • Experience with software development using C# or VB.NET is preferred
  • Experience with programming web services, data access and database management is desired
