About the job IS Infrastructure and Security Project Manager

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Responsible developing quarterly IT Delivery plans that align to the strategic objectives of the business & IS Programme(s)
  • Responsible for building and managing the relationship with the business areas and key stakeholders within the IS Programme(s)
  • Responsible for ensuring projects and enhancements are delivered on time and to the required specifications/scope
  • Responsible for highlighting and managing risks and issues of projects
  • Responsible for highlighting the interdependencies of projects
  • Responsible for reporting progress of projects back the IS Programme Manager
  • Responsible for identification and onboarding of required project resources (e.g. via capability lead or cross functional teams)
  • Responsible for the budget of the assigned IS projects
  • Responsible for the governance and adherence to the company's Solution Delivery methodology
  • Responsible for preparing the content for the relevant steering committees
  • Responsible for the administration of the relevant projects and enhancements
  • Required to embrace a culture of Knowledge Management by ensuring that knowledge management systems and processes are fully utilised

Qualifications and experience:

  • Minimum requirement - relevant Tertiary Qualification
  • Certificate or Diploma in IS Project Management
  • 5+ years Infrastructure experience
  • 5+ years in managing projects of IT business applications
  • 3+ years in the Retail industry (will be an advantage)
  • 3+ years in Infrastructure Security (will be an advantage)
  • Experience managing AWS projects (will be an advantage)
  • Proven resource management experience
  • Application of IT governance principles
  • Experience with financial budgeting and cost of IT initiatives
