Qualifications
  • Sales and Marketing diploma/degree (ideal)

  • At least 3 years experience in a Sales Management role (ideally in the Bedding Manufacturing/Similar Industry)
  • Experience with multiple systems (Syspro, etc.)

  • Full understanding of product development and production costs, including waste, downtime, scrap, and rework
Responsibilties:
  • Assist the senior management team in supporting and driving sales growth, achieving sales targets.
  • Strengthen relationships with existing customers through regular meetings and promotional activities.
  • Design and implement strategic sales plans to maximize sales and growth opportunities.
  • Grow sales with existing customers.
  • Seek opportunities to expand the companys customer base in existing and new markets.
  • Research and gather relevant information on target markets to qualify leads and plan/execution an effective sales approach upon Senior Management confirmation.
  • Ensure adherence to call cycles as directed by Senior Management within assigned regions/accounts.
  • Represent The Company at various tradeshows.
  • Plan and execute regular field trips to maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
  • Maintain a well-informed working knowledge of all product ranges, production workflow, warranties, and guarantees.
  • Provide product knowledge training to customers as needed.
  • Generate sales reports, including booking reports and other daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reporting as directed.
  • Responsible for timely follow-up and ongoing sales relationships with qualified clients to ensure ROI from attended tradeshows.
  • Maintain customer contact through site visits, direct mail, telephone, email, or personal sales calls in geographic markets.
  • Manage support staff, including monitoring assignments, productivity, and overall well-being.
  • Control Spiv Reports for key customers.
  • Renegotiate FY rebates with key customers.
  • Roll out price lists when price increases are due to the team and customers.
  • Actively contribute to teamwork by participating in staff meetings and supporting colleagues.
  • Demonstrate behaviors that reflect The Companys vision and values.
  • Act responsibly and perform work in accordance with ethical standards.
  • Control resources effectively to support customer delivery requirements and Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Conduct incident and non-conformity investigations, including associated reporting and action closure.
  • Ensure KPIs are met by working to the overall plan as advised by the Manager.
  • Provide product expertise within the team and respond to operator queries.
  • Work proactively with support functions to fully define the processes, procedures, and controls relevant to team activities.
  • Provide support and input to continuous improvement activities within the team.
