Operation Manager

Main Responsibilities
  1. Leadership & Management

    • Lead the OMS execution team and manage converting operations to meet business and customer requirements efficiently.

  2. Continuous Improvement

    • Create a culture of continuous improvement and implement a program to meet KPIs and identify, prioritize, resource, and execute improvement opportunities.

  3. Maintenance Practices

    • Ensure maintenance best practices are implemented and adhered to, in collaboration with the site-based engineering team.

  4. Budget Management

    • Compile and motivate plant-specific operational and capital expenditure budgets.

  5. Reporting

    • Compile and submit reports and relevant documentation in line with business requirements.

  6. Cost Control

    • Control all operational costs within budget; report variances with reasons and propose corrective actions.

  7. Safety, Health, Environment, and Risk (SHEQ)

    • Promote a culture that ensures adherence to SHEQ standards and compliance with statutory and group risk control policies and procedures.

  8. Quality Assurance & Control

    • Promote a culture where manufacturing to quality specifications is a priority and ensure an effective quality control program is in place and followed.

  9. Customer Satisfaction

    • Manage and support quality assurance processes to ensure adherence to standards and conformance to customer requirements.

  10. Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop team members to enhance performance and personal capability.

  • Implement effective people development and performance management programs, aligned with future organizational requirements.

Requirements
Formal Qualifications
  • BSc / BTech Degree in Engineering, or

  • National Diploma in Engineering.

Work Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in the Converting Plant.
  • At least 5 years in a senior management position.

  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Computer literacy and strong risk management capabilities.

  • Practical knowledge of Project Management (desirable).

  • Experience in Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) or a related industry.

  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or similar continuous improvement methodologies.
