Qualifications

Experience
  • Up to 3 years of technical, maintenance, and facilities experience as a Handyman in a manufacturing environment
Technical Competencies
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Knowledge of housekeeping and safety principles
Key Performance Areas and Indicators
1. Repairs 

Key Activities:

  • Diagnose root causes of failures and execute repairs promptly.
  • Implement carpentry, building, roof, and facility repairs to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Apply technical and engineering standards for optimal repairs and maintenance.
  • Close out maintenance job cards upon completion of work (Shop Ware).
  • Identify and resolve potential process-related problems proactively.
  • Provide maintenance repair reports to the Quality Assurance Engineer.
2. Maintenance 

Key Activities:

  • Perform routine inspections and diagnose necessary maintenance work.
  • Coordinate maintenance timing with Supervisors and Production.
  • Ensure availability of parts for maintenance routines.
  • Compile written reports for Quality Assurance on unusual conditions.
3. Training 

Key Activities:

  • Assist with training apprentices.
  • Prepare training machines for corrective equipment training.
4. Compliance 

Key Activities:

  • Operate within controls and procedures to ensure the Company integrity.
  • Report risks or areas of concern to management.
  • Promote compliance with regulations and procedures to avoid wasteful expenditure.
5. Cost Control 

Key Activities:

  • Support transparent use of financial and other resources.
  • Limit expenditure, reduce costs, and report budget deviations to the manager.
6. Customer Service 

Key Activities:

  • Maintain effective relationships with employees and customers.
  • Solve problems with integrity in line with Company core values.
7. Staff Supervision

Key Activities:

  • Ensure ongoing training and development of employees.
  • Address employee relations matters fairly and promptly.
