Production Planner

Job purpose:

This position is responsible for the production and manufacturing of Foam products. This position further encompasses the purpose of supervising the Foam plant by overseeing the various components within the Production line in order to manufacture with efficiency.

Minimum requirements:

• Bachelors degree/diploma in Chemical Engineering or other related Qualifications
• At least 3 years experience within a Chemical Manufacturing Plant or any related fields.

Responsibilities:

• Allocation of daily responsibilities and management thereof
• Ensure the manufacturing plant is adequately set up with all relevant efficiencies
• Ensuring the Chemical and additive tanks are full and have sufficient material for production run
• Ensure quality products are assessed and in line the company standards
• Ensure sufficient space in curing shed prior to starting up plant
• Ensure plant is set up for run as per production plan
• Calculate chemical consumption and input accordingly
• Ensure plant is in sound mechanical working order according to daily & weekly maintenance service check lists
• Report all non-conformances
• Testing of product runs
• Sample & quality checks as per national quality reports
• Weekly quality report
• Daily stock level report
• Weekly supply of chemicals to re-bond plant
• Weekly cycle counts.
• Housekeeping
• Ensure the plant is well maintained and kept to the KAP Standards
• Comply with all company procedures and policies including OH&S.
• Providing administrative support to the marketing and sales team.
