Key purpose:

Were looking to hire a dynamic, ambitious and results-orientated Junior Social Media Community Co-ordinator to be based in our digital command centre in Cape Town.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Respond to comments and queries on various social media accounts
  • Curate and post content to various social media accounts
  • Remove spam content from comments and block spammers from account
  • Notify the leadership team via set escalation processes when required.
  • Explore new channels and look into new ways of reaching specific target audiences and growing market share.
  • Work closely with our in-house team as well as outsourced service providers and partners.
  • Complete assigned tasks within the required deadlines
  • Alternate between three shifts: Morning, Afternoon and Late Night
  • Follow strict processes and procedures at all times

Qualifications and experience:

  • A Matric certificate or equivalent qualification
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken Swahili and Portuguese will be beneficial
  • The ability to get to the Office on time for your shift
  • An active user of Social media apps like Facebook, Instagram and Linkedin
  • Be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines consistently
  • Be able to work in a team, but be a self-starter
