Minimum requirements:
- Must have a project management qualification
With at least 2 years relevant and proven experience and background in the Solar and renewable energy industry, and specifically system implementation - Possesses superior organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects with shifting deadlines
- Must possess troubleshooting skills and capabilities
- Must be flexible and ready to travel with limited warning
- Experience in building cross-functional relationships
- Computer Literacy (MS Office Suite; SAP, ERP Systems, and job-specific software systems).
- Knowledge of relevant Business Processes
- Knowledge of Project Management Systems, Processes and Procedures.
- Excellent math abilities and working knowledge of data analysis/statistical methods
Responsibilities:
- Manage a full turnkey solution as negotiated with the end user on a residential to small commercial scale.
- Add to the proposal process regarding timelines for full turnkey solution.
- Oversee multiple residential projects of varying sizes and complexity and ensure that projects are accomplished within prescribed timeframes and budgets.
- Ensuring sound communication with internal and external staff, customers and sub-contractors through relevant management channels.
- Ensure all operations and electrical works are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way to the meet Industry regulations.
- Maintenance and repairs on existing solar photovoltaic systems.
- Improving operational management systems, processes, and best practices.
- Install Solar arrays, Battery backup systems and solar photovoltaic systems to the highest standards.
- Supervise site operating personnel including subcontractors and consultants to ensure quality and conformance to specifications, budgets, schedule, and corporate policies.
- Junior project management experience in solar and battery backup applications.
- Solar String configurations.
- Design in helioscope.
- Conduct professional site surveys.
- Trouble shoot system issues.
- Prepare bill of quantities for quote.
- Procure bill of quantities for installation.
- Assist with preparation of proposals.
- Market research trends, new equipment, new methodologies.
- Install and retrieve data loggers.
- Compile the raw data for engineering design.
- Capture drone footage before and after installation.
- Assist with emergency stock delivery or collection.
- Assist with warranty overload situation.
- Completed safety at heights.
- Learn the various inverter software.
- Provide technical assistance when required.
- Liaise with customers to ascertain their satisfaction.
- Keep abreast of Industry developments.
