Job purpose:

The Site Planner is responsible for the delivery of project planning and progress measurement, ensuring that Company procedures and best practices are applied, as appropriate, and recommending changes to the Project Controls Manager where required.

The Site Planner is responsible for developing and maintaining a project plan and schedule to meet the project objectives.

Qualifications and Experience:

Essential:

  • Three years tertiary qualification, relevant degree or diploma in engineering or project management or suitable comparable experience
  • 8-10 years experience as a Planner in a multi discipline project environment
  • Sound technical knowledge in a multi-discipline environment
  • Primavera Project Planner P6 & Microsoft Projects
  • Technical overview of work methods and techniques
  • Risk management principles
  • Good knowledge of project management principles.

Preferred

  • Interpersonal and good communication skills
  • Knowledge of forms of contract will be a definite advantage.
  • Computer literacy (MS Office package)
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Report writing skill
