Senior Project Manager - 7 Month Contract

Key Responsibilities:
  • End-to-End Project Management:
  • Lead the project lifecycle from initiation to delivery, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.

  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders from Business, Technology, and Operations to ensure alignment on design, scope, and delivery milestones.

  • Solution Delivery Oversight:
    Work with solution architects and business SMEs to agree on the future-state architecture and take ownership of the implementation plan and methodology.

  • Target Operating Model Implementation:
    Drive execution of a clearly defined TOM, ensuring that roles, responsibilities, and governance structures are clearly articulated and adopted across functions.

  • Project Governance:
    Set up and manage robust governance processes including steering committees, working groups, risk tracking, and status reporting.

  • Resource & Budget Management:
    Define and secure required resourcing; track and manage project budget, escalating as necessary.

  • Issue & Risk Management:
    Proactively manage risks, issues, and dependencies; drive timely resolution of blockers and decisions.

  • Milestone Tracking & Roadmap Delivery:
    Ensure project milestones are delivered on time, within scope and budget, and according to quality expectations.

Minimum Requirements:
  • 10+ years experience in Project or Program Management in Financial Services, preferably in Global Markets.
  • Proven success in leading large-scale system transformation programs, ideally involving data platforms or market data solutions.
  • Experience in delivering projects involving data model implementation and Target Operating Model execution.
  • Strong understanding of the Global Markets trading environment, including front-to-back processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with and influence C-level stakeholders.

  • Excellent knowledge of project governance, risk management, and financial tracking.

  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, hybrid approaches).

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Computer Science, Engineering); PMP, Prince2, or Agile certifications are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Deep domain expertise in Market Data Infrastructure and Trading Platforms.
  • Experience with cross-functional transformation involving multiple business units and geographies.
  • Familiarity with procurement processes and vendor management in capital markets.
  • Experience managing offshore/onshore delivery models.
