Key purpose:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Key Account Manager to join our team, specializing in managing strategic accounts within the Public sector. The successful candidate must have a strong background in the ICT sector with specific experience in Telecoms. They will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in government organizations and public sector entities.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve business objectives and revenue growth targets within the Public sector, with a focus on Telecoms solutions and services.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in government organizations and public sector entities, understanding their unique requirements and challenges.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, acting as a trusted advisor and consultant, and offering tailored ICT and Telecoms solutions to address their needs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, product development, and customer support, to ensure the successful delivery of Telecoms solutions and exceptional service to public sector clients.
  • Identify and leverage cross-selling and upselling opportunities within the assigned accounts, promoting additional ICT and Telecoms services and solutions.
  • Negotiate and renew contracts, pricing agreements, and service level agreements with public sector clients, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and track progress against targets, providing regular reports and analysis to internal stakeholders.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes in the Telecoms and Public sectors to offer informed recommendations to key accounts.
  • Provide outstanding customer service, promptly addressing concerns, resolving issues, and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction within the Public sector.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify market trends, understand the competitive landscape, and develop strategies to differentiate our Telecoms solutions in the Public sector.

Qualifications, experience and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field. A technical degree in ICT or Telecoms is a plus.
  • Minimum of X years of experience in sales, key account management, or business development within the ICT sector, with a strong emphasis on Telecoms and Public sector accounts.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and growing key accounts in the Public sector, specifically in Telecoms and ICT.
  • Deep understanding of the Public sector, including knowledge of government procurement processes, regulations, and unique requirements.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in Telecoms, including a solid understanding of Telecommunications infrastructure, networks, services, and solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and influence key stakeholders.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills, with a demonstrated ability to navigate complex procurement processes.
  • Strategic thinking and analytical skills to develop account plans, identify growth opportunities, and anticipate customer needs in the Public sector.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
