Minimum requirements:

  • Basic knowledge of TMS systems used in the supply chain
  • Diploma in supply chain and transport management 
  • Computer literate.
  • Basic knowledge of Fleet management 
  • Basic knowledge of Finance management 
  • Strong admin skills
  • Own Transport
  • Valid code 8 license as a minimum
  • Supply chain and transportation knowledge
  • Knowledge of IR & NBC rules

Responsibilities:

  • Relieve staff when they are on leave in various branches, departments and shifts and fulfil all their duties as per their job profiles
  • Highest level of job category to relieve will be in that of a Logistics Branch manager
  • Must ensure stable, cost effective and sound operational output for the period in which the relieving of a specific role is required
  • Audit the SOPs for each branch and department when required to do so and formulate a report back to the Divisional Manager on findings
  • Housekeeping of various departments while relieving must be of high standard
  • Health and Safety is enforced in departments when relieving
  • Wage processing in various departments when relieving
  • Assist with the implementation of new reports and procedures
  • Assist with staff training
  • Assist with HR/IR (initiating and chairing hearings)
