Minimum requirements:

  • Matric. (Diploma in Purchasing Supply Chain or Logistics will be an advantage).
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in wholesale preferred.
  • Great computer skills and proficiency in programs such as MS Office.
  • Good understanding of an ERP or warehouse management systems.
  • Sound knowledge of logistics and distribution.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Good market researching and networking skills.
  • Great understanding of retail products and consumer trends.
  • Good report writing and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Competitors & market knowledge

Responsibilities:

  • Inventory purchasing, management and control.
  • Effective purchasing through mandated budgets.
  • Monitor rate of sale per item and corrective action where applicable
  • Ensure timeous processing of claims and other admin tasks.
  • Ensure positive working relationships with suppliers and internal staff.
  • Reporting any issues with suppliers, logistics, or products to the supervisor.
  • Keeping abreast of competitors and the new products on the market.
  • Maintaining Suppliers Pricelist and Promotions.
