About the job Business Development Manager

Job description and requirements:

  • Must be willing and able to travel at short notice to develop regional presence and bolster existing business relationships
  • Generate sales and follow up on leads with a view of converting them into revenue
  • Required to develop and market all of Our company's service offering, including those of the companies within Our company's Holding Group. 
  • Participate in networking and sales events organised by Trade Associations, Chamber of Business and
  • Trade Missions. Both locally and internationally
  • Regularly interface with industry specific stakeholders with the aim of developing new business opportunities
  • Regularly visit existing clientele and scope new prospective opportunities with the aim of building positive working relationships
  • Keep abreast and report on latest market trends and industry specific developments
  • Conduct research on individuals and organisations with the aim of developing new opportunities for the companys group
  • Undertake promotional activities and participate and sales and marketing events to increase brand awareness and promote Our company's services within Mozambique, Angola, and Southern Africa
  • Submit periodic reports for management detailing regional activity, new developments, strategies, market trends and existing client satisfaction surveys
  • Research and identify potential partners with synergies to build regional strategic alliances and pursue new ventures
  • Undertake surveys to understand Our company's regional competitors and implement strategies to ensure the group is ahead of the market
  • Candidate must be willing to relocate to Mozambique or Angola

Qualifications and experience:

  • Matric
  • The candidate should have a degree or similar in engineering / quantity surveying / marketing / marketing management
  • Minimum 2 years' experience an industry specific marketing and sales role
