About the job IT MANAGER

Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of Information and Communications Systems (ICS) and Network teams
  • Management of team members and provide guidance and coaching where necessary.
  • Monitoring and management of organization-wide IT and network infrastructure and operations.
  • Oversight of and operational support for internal employee computer systems, servers, email and cloud services user accounts.
  • Management of company Asset register, including the issuance and return of equipment
  • Strategic design and implementation of network and IT infrastructure at newly constructed facilities.
  • Audit/inspect existing systems and make recommendations for upgrades/changes to ensure secure and efficient operations
  • Lead on IT and network hardware and software procurement.
  • Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
  • Track emerging technologies and implement them in the organization

Requirements:

  • B degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, B Tech in Information Technology, Information System;
  • Microsoft, Mikrotik or Comptia qualifications are an advantage. 
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in managing teams/people management
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in IT support roles
  • Proven experience in managing IT infrastructure and services
  • Sound knowledge of network management and monitoring
    • Good LAN / WAN / WIFI knowledge and experience of TCP / IP protocols
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft on-premises server as well as MSO365 hybrid cloud and Mikrotik services
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills. 
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Working knowledge of public cloud services, especially Amazon Web Services
  • Proven experience in managing larger networks, or qualifications in network engineering not a requirement but a big plus.
  • Working knowledge of Nextcloud (or Owncloud)
  • UniFi Controller, UISP (formerly UNMS) management and network optimization
  • Hands-on Docker experience is an advantage
  • Experience w/ DevOps principles and practices.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • Solid communication and time management skills
