We are seeking a talented and experienced Dense Media Separation (DMS) Engineer for our client, a global leader in manufacturing DMS plants. The successful candidate will lead efforts in designing, implementing, and optimizing DMS processes for material separation and resource recovery. As a DMS Engineer, you will contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of operations through the application of innovative separation technologies.

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering
  • Proven experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing Dense Media Separation systems.
  • Familiarity with a variety of separation equipment and technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Technical aptitude and ability
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Sales Engineer / Customer service background
  • Costing
  • Operations and maintenance on the Plant
  • Portuguese and / or French speaking advantageous
  • Willingness to travel extensively - locally and abroad

Responsibilities:

  • System Design and Optimization
  • Design and optimize Dense Media Separation systems for efficient material separation based on project requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration with overall process flow.
  • Equipment Selection and Configuration
  • Select, configure, and calibrate equipment used in Dense Media Separation processes.
  • Work closely with suppliers to evaluate and implement state-of-the-art separation technologies.
  • Process Monitoring and Control
  • Implement monitoring systems to track the performance of DMS processes.
  • Develop and implement control strategies to ensure consistent and reliable separation outcomes.
  • Troubleshooting and Maintenance
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to Dense Media Separation systems.
  • Develop and execute maintenance plans to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting
  • Analyze data from separation processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on system performance and efficiency.
