Job Purpose:

To ensure Admin, Treasury & Audit duties are carried out accurately and timeously in accordance with the departments objectives.

Job Summary: Primary functions of the job

  • Supervising the Treasury Team, assisting to ensure smooth running of the department
  • Treasury Responsible for all Electronic bank payments. To verify all the relevant documentation, proof of banking details prior to payment releases
  • Treasury preparation of all foreign payments released for verification by external auditors
  • Treasury dealing with various banks on all bank related queries, being payments made/deposits received
  • VAT Return Preparation of the monthly VAT Return/Recon
  • General assisting with various functions such as monthly expenses/provisions/accruals/budget preparations

Job Function: Responsibilities

Treasury

  • Releasing of daily EFTs
  • Assist with smooth running of department
  • General queries with all banks
  • To ensure Internal transfer accounts are cleared
  • To ensure Cashpooling & Cashpooling interest accounts cleared
  • SARB Audit: preparation data for audit / assist with any queries or outstanding issues / Submit Auditors Report with renewal application to bank & follow up until approved

External Audit

  • Assist with preparation of documentation
  • Assist with any queries

VAT Return

  • Completing of monthly VAT Return
  • Submit on e-filing
  • Arranging & uploading of supporting documents when audited by SARS
  • Monthly VAT & Reasonability

General

  • Assist in absence of RSA & Cluster Banking Data Capturer with:
    • Distribution of bank balances / Updating bank schedule / Xaalis
    • Loading of BALSA exchange rates on Pegasus
    • Distribution of BALSA Gross Margin
    • Applying/Updating/Cancelling of Guarantees
    • HQ Cash Report
  • Assist BALSA General Accounting & RSA Cluster Bank Manager with various functions
  • Assist with budget preparations/company expenses/accruals
  • Any additional ADHOC duties

Minimum Requirements: Education and experience

  • Matric
  • Computer Literate
  • Excel
  • Accounting Knowledge

  • Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Must be able to handle pressure
  • Must be able to use own initiative
