We are seeking a highly experienced Depot Manager to establish and manage operations in Namibia. The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of the Namibian market, particularly in logistics, heavy equipment, or yellow machines, with a significant background in dealing with the energy, construction, mining, or engineering sector. This role demands a strategic leader who can oversee operations, finance, and business development, while managing clients and staff effectively.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
Experience:
- Extensive experience in the Namibian market, with a focus on logistics, heavy equipment, or yellow machines.
- Proven track record in dealing with energy, construction, mining, and engineering sector operations in Namibia.
- Demonstrated ability to manage operations, finances, and business development initiatives.
Skills and Competencies:
- Exceptional strategic planning and leadership abilities.
- Strong understanding of local regulations, market dynamics, and industry trends in Namibia.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Fluency in English and Afrikaans.
- Ability to manage budgets, analyze financial reports, and drive financial performance.
Responsibilities:
- Operational Management:
- Set up and oversee depot operations in Namibia.
- Ensure efficient management of logistics, heavy equipment, and yellow machines.
- Implement best practices and operational procedures to optimize productivity and safety.
- Financial Management:
- Manage budgets, analyze financial reports, and drive financial performance.
- Develop and monitor financial strategies to ensure the profitability and sustainability of the operations.
- Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the Namibian market.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients and partners in the various sectors.
- Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute strategic plans to grow the business and expand market presence.
- Lead, motivate, and manage a diverse team of staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Client and Staff Management:
- Oversee client relationships, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Manage staff recruitment, training, and development to build a competent and dedicated team.
