Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire employee life cycle from acquisition to exit
  • Create a memorable high-quality employee experience from placement to integration with the team
  • Source and implement relevant tools to ensure the engagement of employees
  • Manage the performance management process and implementation of 360 surveys
  • Fully responsible for the recruitment process, sourcing and placing as well as working with recruiters
  • Build strong and dynamic relationships within the business and guide them on the agreed process and ensure governance is in place
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements such as Skills Development, Employment Equity, BEE, Health and Safety, etc.
  • Coordinate recognition and incentive awards
  • Support the CEO in the research, development and implementation of culture boosting initiatives
  • Organize and maintain personnel records
  • Update internal databases
  • Prepare HR documents, like employment contracts and new hire guides
  • Maintain and revise company policies
  • Answer employee's queries about HR-related issues
  • Assist payroll department by providing relevant employee information (e.g. leaves of absence, sick days and work schedules)
  • Participate in HR projects
  • Training and development Management
  • Ad hoc HR Administrative tasks

Education and Experience Required

  • Relevant 3-year degree and / or post graduate qualification
  • Minimum +-5 years experience in a similar role
  • Proven experience and successful track record in managing an HR admin function
  • Knowledge of BCEA, Labour Law, EEA and Skills Development Acts

  • Experience with HR software
  • Computer literacy (MS Office applications, in particular)
  • Thorough knowledge of labor laws
