Minimum requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A masters degree is a plus.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in designing, implementing, and managing cloud solutions, preferably with a focus on GCP and Google services.
- Relevant certifications such as Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect or similar certifications are highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of GCP services and products, including Google Compute Engine, Google Kubernetes Engine, Google Cloud Storage, Google Cloud Functions, Google Cloud Pub/Sub, Google Cloud Datastore, etc.
- Proficiency in scripting (e.g., Python, Bash) and automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) for infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and container
orchestration platforms like Kubernetes. - Knowledge of networking concepts, security best practices, and monitoring tools in cloud environments.

Responsibilities:
- Architect, plan, and deploy highly available and scalable cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using best practices.
- Develop and configure Google Cloud services and products, including compute, storage, networking, security, databases, and machine learning.
- Collaborate with software engineers and application teams to ensure seamless integration of applications with cloud services.
- Optimize performance and cost-efficiency of cloud infrastructure and services.
- Monitor and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure for performance, availability, and security.
- Implement and maintain automation scripts, infrastructure as code, and configuration management tools for streamlined provisioning and management of resources.
- Perform regular backups, disaster recovery planning, and ensure data integrity in cloud environments.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to cloud computing and Google services.
- Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct security assessments, vulnerability scans, and implement necessary controls to protect cloud infrastructure and data.
- Collaborate with the security team to develop and maintain incident response plans and conduct security incident investigations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, architects, operations, and support, to understand requirements and provide technical expertise.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including architectural diagrams, standard operating procedures, and knowledge base articles.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior cloud engineers, sharing knowledge and best practices.
