Senior Programme Manager and Project Manager - 9 Month Contract

Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
  • Assist with the development and roll-out of strategy and business plans.
  • Prepare for and facilitate workshops to develop strategy tactics for execution of the strategy and the development of new/evolving strategies.
  • Gather relevant local and international research on the functional area (e.g. competitor analysis, sector research, etc.).
  • Analyze large volumes of information to prioritize relevant insights for understanding specific issues and trends in the broader environment; identify appropriate contacts for specific informationProvide decision support through data gathering, information analysis, and presentation of considerations to relevant stakeholders.
  • Follow a predetermined project approach to progress through relevant project phases (e.g. initiation, analysis, design, build).
  • Engage with project team members to brainstorm solutions to obstacles and make recommendations to ensure alignment with minimum standards.
  • Coordinate project activities and resources, including scheduling meetings and maintaining project documentation.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to senior team members and other stakeholders.
  • Support risk management activities by identifying potential issues and assisting in the development of mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct project research and gather relevant data to support decision-making processes.
  • Provide support for and facilitate business case development and planning for new and ongoing projects.
  • Utilize project management software and tools to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of project initiatives.
  • Assist in the presentation of project status reports, presentations, and other communication materials.
  • Coordinate with team members and external partners to ensure alignment and collaboration on project tasks.
  • Provide administrative support, including managing project files, documentation, and correspondence.
  • Help ensure compliance with organisational policies and procedures in all project activities.
  • Support the implementation of project management best practices and process improvements.
  • Assist in the resolution of project issues and conflicts by facilitating communication and negotiation among stakeholders.
  • Assist in tracking and managing project budgets and expenditures.
  • Support quality assurance activities to ensure project deliverables meet defined standards and requirements.
  • Undertake continuous training and knowledge upgrades to provide fast, accurate, and proactive service.
