Mould Store Controller

Reporting to the Processing Specialist (plant-specific):

▪ Able to conduct all Minor services on moulds (pins and bushes, o-ring and gasket replacement, sandblasting and minor cutting edge repairs)

▪ Draining, Cleaning and lubricating of moulds after being run in production.

▪ Cleaning of vent channels of the moulds.

▪ Ensure moulds are stored correctly on the shelves.

▪ Ensure each mould gets to the production floor on time for mould change as per the production plan.

▪ Make sure that the mould handover between the mould store and production happens and documentation is kept.

▪ Ensure moulds are cleared from the production floor within 24 hours after the mould change has taken place.

▪ Properly maintaining service records of each mould set.

▪ Controlling mould spares such as O-rings and pins and bushes per mould set.

▪ Housekeeping of the mould store.

▪ Ordering of necessary tools for the mould store when necessary and liaising with the Processing Specialist. Mould consumable inventory to be kept for each mould set.

▪ In charge of strapping moulds and mould transport for moulds that need to be sent away for service or repairs.

▪ Receiving moulds back into the store from trucks or couriers and ensuring mould is in good condition.

▪ Actively ensuring that all moulds are serviced, cared for and maintained appropriately.

▪ Able to do Neck changes in the mould store prior to the relevant production runs.

To be considered for this position applicants must meet the following criteria:

▪ Possession of an N4 Mechanical Eng. With workshop or tool room experience

▪ Must have Manufacturing Maintenance experience.

▪ Not less than 5 years of maintenance experience in FMCG or similar production environments.

▪ Injection or Blowmoulding maintenance experience advantageous.
