Minimum requirements: 

  • Licensed to work in South Africa
  • Drivers license essential
  • Ability to manage diverse, simultaneous projects of varying complexities
  • An understanding of and experience within the Solar PV market is essential
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, Projects required
  • Strong communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with our engineers and order processing to ensure
    • Drawings match project description as well as getting client sign off including module dimensions and specifications
      • Fabrication drawings are according to requirement outlined in the drawings
      • The Bill of Quantities matches project requirement against the design and costing
      • Working closely with fabricators to ensure
        • Sections are manufactured to specification in the fabrication drawings
        • The appropriate number of sections has been produced according to the Bill of Quantities
        • A quality certification from each of the suppliers is obtained relevant to the material produced for the project
        • Formulation of a quality pack that will be distributed to clients post completion of the delivery of material
        • Working closely with site managers and team leaders on quality control requirements for the project considering
          • Appropriateness of drawings
          • Reviewing work in stages against the quality control documents. 
          • This will include multiple site visits through the duration of a project
          • Torque tests of all bolts prior to hand handover to the client
          • The candidate will be expected to interact with the quality control representative of clients and in some cases the end user.
          • Assist in the development of improved quality control processes
          • Interact with new and existing customers
          • Aid in the development of new and improved processes to guarantee efficient delivery of the projects.
