REGIONAL SALES MANAGER
Location: Cape Town
A well-established and growing business within the wholesale and distribution sector is seeking a driven and commercially focused Regional Sales Manager to lead and develop a high-performing sales team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a results-oriented leader who can drive revenue growth, expand market share, and build strong customer relationships across a diverse client base.
THE ROLE
You will take ownership of regional sales performance, leading a team to achieve ambitious revenue and profitability targets while strengthening key customer relationships.
Key responsibilities include:
- Driving achievement of sales and gross profit targets across the region
- Growing revenue through existing accounts and new business development
- Increasing sales of new and existing product lines
- Managing and optimising sales team performance and call cycles
- Implementing and maintaining structured sales processes and standards
- Monitoring customer segmentation and prioritisation strategies
- Building and maintaining strong, long-term customer relationships
- Resolving customer queries, complaints, and service issues effectively
- Overseeing stock, delivery expectations, and service levels
- Managing sales budgets, headcount, and cost efficiency
- Leading team development, performance management, and coaching
- Driving training initiatives and improving product knowledge across the team
- Ensuring effective use of sales tools, systems, and reporting platforms

Key requirements:
- Matric / Grade 12 (post-matric qualification advantageous)
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a sales management role
- Strong experience within retail, industrial, or related sectors
- Proven ability to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets
- Experience managing and developing sales teams
- Strong understanding of sales processes, forecasting, and reporting
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Strong leadership capability with the ability to motivate and influence
