REGIONAL SALES MANAGER

Location: Cape Town

A well-established and growing business within the wholesale and distribution sector is seeking a driven and commercially focused Regional Sales Manager to lead and develop a high-performing sales team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a results-oriented leader who can drive revenue growth, expand market share, and build strong customer relationships across a diverse client base.

THE ROLE

You will take ownership of regional sales performance, leading a team to achieve ambitious revenue and profitability targets while strengthening key customer relationships.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Driving achievement of sales and gross profit targets across the region
  • Growing revenue through existing accounts and new business development
  • Increasing sales of new and existing product lines
  • Managing and optimising sales team performance and call cycles
  • Implementing and maintaining structured sales processes and standards
  • Monitoring customer segmentation and prioritisation strategies
  • Building and maintaining strong, long-term customer relationships
  • Resolving customer queries, complaints, and service issues effectively
  • Overseeing stock, delivery expectations, and service levels
  • Managing sales budgets, headcount, and cost efficiency
  • Leading team development, performance management, and coaching
  • Driving training initiatives and improving product knowledge across the team
  • Ensuring effective use of sales tools, systems, and reporting platforms

Key requirements:

  • Matric / Grade 12 (post-matric qualification advantageous)
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a sales management role
  • Strong experience within retail, industrial, or related sectors
  • Proven ability to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets
  • Experience managing and developing sales teams
  • Strong understanding of sales processes, forecasting, and reporting
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Strong leadership capability with the ability to motivate and influence
