Key Responsibilities
1. Production Management
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the meat production lines, ensuring efficiency and compliance with production schedules
  • Monitor workflow and adjust production activities to meet quality and quantity targets
  • Coordinate with other departments (e.g., logistics, maintenance, quality assurance) to streamline production
2. Quality Assurance and Compliance
  • Ensure adherence to food safety standards (e.g., HACCP or relevant local regulations)
  • Monitor the quality of raw materials, production processes, and finished products to meet company standards
3. Team Leadership
  • Manage, train, and motivate production staff to ensure peak performance
  • Assign duties, monitor team progress, and provide constructive feedback
  • Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement
4. Health & Safety
  • Enforce compliance with workplace safety protocols to minimize accidents and hazards
  • Ensure staff are trained in proper handling and processing of meat products
5. Reporting and Documentation
  • Maintain accurate records of production metrics, including yields, waste, and downtime
  • Prepare reports on production performance, staffing needs, and maintenance requirements
  • Communicate production issues and solutions to senior management
Requirements
6. Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 35 years of supervisory experience in meat processing or a related food production environment
7. Skills and Competencies
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP)
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
