A leading organisation in the transport and logistics sector is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to drive commercial strategy, expand market presence, and strengthen client relationships across Mozambique. This role requires a commercially sharp, strategically minded leader who understands the dynamics of transport, freight, and cross-border logistics.
Purpose of the role
Lead the commercial growth agenda by developing strategic sales plans, driving new business opportunities, managing key client accounts, and ensuring high-performance execution across commercial and operational teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Commercial Strategy & Growth

Define and execute short- and long-term commercial expansion plans.

Develop strategies for new segments while optimising existing services.

Analyse market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to identify opportunities.

Manage major commercial accounts and build trusted relationships with key clients.

Conduct client visits, prepare proposals, and negotiate contracts.

Drive customer satisfaction and support the acquisition of new business.
Monitor KPIs and ensure SLAs are consistently met or exceeded.

Lead service improvement initiatives and introduce new opportunities where applicable.

Coordinate closely with operational teams to ensure aligned execution.

Manage relationships with international stakeholders and partners.

Ensure compliance with partner expectations and reporting requirements.

Provide clear commercial updates and performance insights.

Set team targets, monitor performance, and drive accountability.

Support recruitment, onboarding, coaching, and skills development.

Promote a strong performance culture within commercial and operational teams.
Track budget performance and analyse variances.

Prepare financial reports and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
Degree in Management, Business, Economics, Marketing, Logistics, or related field.
Solid track record in commercial management and business development.

Experience in the transport, logistics, freight, or project cargo sector is highly advantageous.

Strong background in negotiation, client engagement, and revenue growth.
