Key Responsibilities
- Produce accurate bills of quantities (BOQs) and cost estimates from design and tender documents.
- Manage all contract documentation and ensure compliance with FIDIC, Joint Venture / Joint Contracting Committee (JVCC) and equivalent contract forms.
- Administer contracts from award through to final account, including variations, claims, and extensions of time.
- Monitor project costs, forecasting, cash flows, and assist in financial reporting and budgeting.
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Procurement, and Site Teams to ensure commercial risks are identified and mitigated.
- Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations, negotiate rates, and assist in procurement decisions.
- Validate progress claims, site measurements, and verify work done for payment.
- Participate in risk assessment meetings and provide commercial input to project analyses.
- Support tender & bid teams with cost inputs, pricing strategy and contract terms.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years experience in quantity surveying, preferably with exposure in drilling, mining, civil engineering or energy sector projects.
- Demonstrable experience with FIDIC and JVCC contract forms.
- Experience in large-scale, multi-discipline projects with high technical content.
