SEAFOOD PRODUCTION MANAGER

A leading organisation within the fresh food and FMCG sector is seeking an experienced Seafood Production Manager to oversee and optimise seafood production operations.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to a detail-oriented professional with strong operational expertise in fresh food production and a deep understanding of quality control and food safety standards.
THE ROLE
You will be responsible for managing end-to-end seafood production operations, ensuring efficiency, product quality, and compliance with food safety regulations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing daily seafood production operations to ensure efficiency and minimal waste
- Overseeing processing, packaging, and storage of fresh seafood products
- Ensuring production output aligns with demand and delivery timelines

Implementing and maintaining strict food safety and quality standards, including:
- HACCP and hygiene protocols
- Cold chain management
- Regulatory compliance
- Monitoring stock levels, procurement processes, and supplier quality
- Ensuring proper handling and storage of seafood products
- Leading, training, and managing production teams to meet performance targets
- Driving productivity, accountability, and operational discipline across the team
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements
- Maintaining audit readiness and quality assurance standards
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
- Collaborating with procurement and retail teams to optimise supply chain flow
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Key requirements:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in seafood processing or fresh food production (essential)
- Strong background in production operations and quality control
- Solid understanding of food safety standards (HACCP, ISO, cold chain management)
- Proven experience managing teams in a production environment
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Advantageous:
- Qualification in Food Science, Production Management, or related field
- Experience within retail food production or FMCG environments
- Understanding of seafood sourcing and handling standards
