Head: New Business Development
Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop strategic opportunities for the business to diversify the consumer base and gain additional market share.
- Provide short- and long-term strategic recommendations to Exco to develop and capitalise on business opportunities.

Develop and execute The Companys Mergers and Acquisitions strategy.

Cultivate strong relationships with the Sales and Marketing team to identify capital projects, establish joint ventures, leverage contacts, pursue new product development, and improve project efficiency.

Cultivate strong relationships with the ICT team to identify capital projects, establish joint ventures, leverage contacts, pursue new product development, and improve project efficiency.

Oversee the planning and implementation of business plans for entering new markets and launching new initiatives.

Initiate and lead all phases of new business development, including prospecting and networking, initial relationship development, contract negotiations, and transition to ongoing client engagement.

Partner with Legal and Governance teams to ensure agreements are in place for all new business.

Partner with the Finance & Operations team to develop contracts and pricing that position The Company for success.

Develop a pipeline of corporate prospects to achieve annual business development goals for The Company.

Lead the creation of B2B strategies supported by comprehensive programmes.

Drive Enterprise Development and Supplier Enterprise Development by overseeing enterprise development strategy, identifying enterprise development opportunities, and ensuring required spend is achieved.
Qualifications:

NQF Level 7 Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.

Minimum 8 years in business development, with at least 3 years in a senior management role.

Experience in private/public/non-profit sales (a plus).

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent financial management skills.
