The Role
We are looking for a proactive and curious Grant Writer to help identify, assess and pursue non dilutive capital opportunities that align with our growth plans, particularly government grants and innovation focused programs in Canada.
This role is ideal for someone who is both a strong writer and a systems thinker, comfortable translating our creative and technical projects into compelling narratives for evaluators. Youll work closely with our leadership team to gather inputs, craft proposals and ensure timely reporting.
Responsibilities
Research and identify relevant grant and funding opportunities across federal, provincial and international ecosystems.
Own the proposal writing process from draft to submission
Collaborate with the CEO and the team leads to gather inputs, data and KPIs for inclusion in proposals
Maintain an internal calendar and pipeline of upcoming deadlines, reporting requirements and submission schedules
Prepare supporting materials such as business plans, pitch decks or interim reports as required by funders
Help set up lightweight internal system to track grant activity, reporting deadlines and optimization level
What You Bring
3+ years of experience writing successful grant proposals (experience in tech, media or music sectors a major plus)
A strong writing portfolio that includes grants or funding proposals (ideally for innovation, research or creative production)
Ability to understand and translate technical or creative ideas into compelling written narratives
Excellent attention to detail, project management and the ability to juggle multiple deadlines
Familiarity with Canadian grant programs (IRAP, CMD, CanExport, etc.);international experience is a bonus
