Responsibilities

  • Leading the design, building, testing and integration of system components such as seawater reaction chambers and mineral reaction chambers to create a high integrity and commercially viable unit
  • Conducting computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modeling to test system designs as an integral part of the prototyping process
  • Designing, building, and programming an automated flow control system;
  • Collaborating closely with engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractors
  • Spearheading the diagnosis and resolution of problems related to scaling up and integrating the electrochemical system with existing infrastructure
  • Techno-economical tradeoff analyses and commercial scaling strategy
  • Clear communication and collaboration with team members to achieve critical milestones

Requirements

  • B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in industry
  • Comfortable with machining, casting, 3D printing, and additive manufacturing
