Responsibilities
Structural Integrity
1. Conduct structural inspection and analysis of commercial and industrial buildings.
2. Identify possible process gaps and manage the structural assessment process improvement.
3. Evaluate structural loads, wind load and wind bearing capacity of various roof types.
4. Provide mentorship and training on structural assessment to project engineers.
5. Prepare foundation designs for solar arrays and related AC/DC equipment.
6. Support project managers in resolving structural loading issues.
7. Prepare calculations and drawings that demonstrate the structural soundness of roofs.
8. Gain working knowledge of PV system components like modules, racks, inverters and Balance of System
Quality, Health, Safety and Environment Management (QHSE)
1. Implement additional processes necessary to ensure 100% health and safety during audits, installation and operation and maintenance.
2. Monitor and ensure compliance with best QHSE practices and coordinate risk assessments during operations in client sites and company facilities.
3. Promote safety awareness on site(s) by conducting induction and trainings.
4. Ensure effective implementation and awareness of HSSE programs (Such as See Correct or Commend,
Step Back 5X5, Last Man Rule, See Something Do Something and Say Something etc.).
5. Assist the QHSE-Facilities Head with QHSE related investigations as required.
6. Assist in conducting vendor surveys of vendors offering services to the company for quality assurance.
7. Assist with regular walk-through inspection and audits of the project and existing installation sites.
8. Assist in ensuring the conformance of the companys activities to QMS ISO 9001:2015, ISO 45001:2018 and
ISO 14001:2015.
9. Prepare and review of all relevant QHSE related documentation and reports.
10. Track and monitor calibration of all equipment utilized by the installation and field service team for
reliability.
Qualifications/Requirements
- B.Sc. in Civil Engineering (necessary) and ideally also an M.Sc. Civil Engineering
- Professional qualifications in QHSE and Fire & Safety Management Systems.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in building/roof design
- Minimum of 2 years work experience in a QHSE role, preferably in the renewable energy or power industry and:
- experience in implementation of ISO 9001, QHSAS 18001 or ISO 14001 in at least 1 organization o working knowledge in QHSE Management Systems, Environmental Discharges, Incident

Command System, Incident Investigation Tool, HSE Auditing Techniques
o relevant Industrial and Management Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, etc. - Attention to detail and strong oral and written communication skills

- Manage multiple stakeholders in a dynamic environment
- Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite report writing and analysis
- Self-starter with enthusiasm for a fast-paced, high-performing start-up work environment
- English is mandatory, French language proficiency is a plus
