Senior Investment Engineer

About the role

This role sits within the Investment team and is execution-focused. You'll work closely with quants, portfolio managers, and data engineers to make sure the data flowing through the investment process is accurate, consistent, and actually usable.

We're looking for someone who understands investment data in practice, what it represents, where it comes from, and how it's used in real investment decisions. In this role is important knowing the data deeply and making sure it behaves as expected in an investment environment.

What you'll be doing

• Manage investment data operations: monitoring pipelines, triaging issues, handling pricing and data quality checks

• Review and process corporate actions (mergers, spinoffs, stock splits, reclassifications, etc.)

• Track and respond to data alerts across market data, cross-references, and security characteristics

• Work with datasets from vendors, understanding how they feed into internal systems

• Create and sustain investment-facing datasets (with metrics such as liquidity, market cap, sector classifications, fundamental metrics, etc.)

• Verify, validate and harmonize data across security master and identifier systems

• Put in place and improve data quality checks to increase coverage, consistency, and speed of data flowing through pipelines

• Investigate data issues, identify root causes, and fix them in a way that prevents recurrence

• Contribute to how data is structured and defined so it reflects real investment use cases

• Support ongoing improvements to the data platform (datasets, metadata, modeling approaches)

What we're looking for

• Experience working with investment data in an asset management or quantitative environment

• Familiarity with equity markets and the types of datasets used in systematic investing

• Someone who has worked alongside quants or in a quant firm and understands the kind of data they rely on

• Strong understanding of security reference data and identifiers

• Hands-on with Python and SQL for data analysis and validation (tools like Pandas, Polars, Dagster are a plus)

• Experience on data quality checks, monitoring, or reconciliation processes

• A data person who knows the data inside out—where it breaks, what good looks like, and how to fix it

• Able to work across teams and communicate clearly with both technical and investment stakeholders
