Butcher Job Cork City 

A well known flagship Supermarket located on the outskirts of Cork City, is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Butcher to join their team on a full-time basis.

A friendly, outgoing, customer focused person who has experience working in fresh meat store, serving customers, offering meal and product advice would be ideal for this job. As a Butcher, you will be responsible for preparing and cutting various types of meat products for sale in our supermarket. 

Flexible working shift patterns for this Butcher job, working around trading hours such as 7.30 am until butcher counter closes. 

Salary offered : 34,000 -40,000 DOE, approximately 17ph  , depending on experience rate 

Key Responsibilities for this Butcher Job:

• Prepare and cut various types of meat products, including beef, pork, poultry, and seafood, according to customer preferences and specifications
• Ensure all meat products are of high quality, properly trimmed, and free from defects
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Assist customers with their meat selections and provide recommendations on cooking methods and recipes
• Package and label meat products for display and sale
• Maintain knowledge of current market trends and adjust product offerings accordingly

Requirements for this Butcher Job:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Butcher in a retail or supermarket setting
• Strong knowledge of different cuts of meat and their preparation methods
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
• Familiarity with food safety and sanitation regulations
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift heavy objects
• Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
