Supermarket Senior Trainee Manager Job Cork
I am working with a successful and well-known chain of convenience supermarket stores within the Cork area. They have a position for a Retail Trainee Manager for one of their busy high convenience retail stores just outside Wilton Cork. This is a great opportunity for a hard-working, customer focused person, who is a senior shop assistant or current Shop Supervisor or Trainee Manager keen on moving into a bigger group. As a Trainee Manager, you will be trained to take control of certain sections of the store, how to place orders, how to be effective in growing sales, controlling costs and learn how to lead teams. This successful Retail group have proven time and time again, their ability to develop ambitious retail staff, most of their Store Manager have come up the ranks from Trainee Manager.
A mix of early and late evening shifts, but a fair roster in place for managers. Salary will depend on current experience. Salary is based on a 43 contract and up to 35,000
The requirements for this Grocery Trainee Manager Job:
- An ambitious senior Shop Assistant, Supervisor or Duty Manager who has worked in retail, like Grocery supermarkets or convenience stores, has knowledge of HACCP customer service and wants to enhance their retail experience in a more progressive environment
- An interest in retail, working with people, grocery foods, and thrive in a busy fast-paced job
- Good organizational skills,
- Be able to work within a team and on your own initiative.
- Whilst our client offers a flexible and fair rota for all managers, they do require flexibility to work mornings and evenings, weekends
Responsibilities for this Trainee Manager Job:
- Shop minding, ensuring the store runs smoothly, and maintaining the standards whilst managing the store on your own in the morning or closing shifts
- Driving sales, controlling the stock level, managing promotional changeover, and ensuring the profit margins are at the agreed target
- People management, developing and coaching teams, learning more about performance management, like conflict resolution and motivating colleagues, rota planning , etc.
- KPI and target management, you will enhance your commercial acumen of how the shop makes money, controls costs effectively, and drives productivity
- Customer service, enhancing customer experience through your training, resolving complaints, and training teams under you to obtain further knowledge in the industry
