My client is a prominent and successful food supermarket group with several large and small food retail stores across Leinster and is now hiring for a supermarket Assistant Manager in their Kildare store.
A recent recipient of National Supermarket of the year for the retail brand. Our client is still expanding, revamping stores and operating with high standards in fresh and grocery.
This retail job offers an opportunity to become a senior manager and work with an experienced team and Store Manager.
The salary will vary DOE, 38,000 - 45,000 a year salary, bonus, staff discount.
Responsibilities for this Assistant Manager Job:
- Support manager to achieve sales and profit targets
- Provide high level of customer service
- Ensure you and the team abide by all company policies and procedures
- Manage stock and cash control procedures investigate and report when variances occur
- Being creative and innovative by studying and implementing advertising, sales promotion, and display plans.
- Managing all controllable costs to keep operations profitable.
- Maintaining store staff by recruiting, selecting, and training new staff, in conjunction with the HR department.
- Organizing special promotions, displays and events.
- Dealing with customer queries and complaints as per the company policies.
Requirements for this Retail Assistant Manager Job:
- 3+ years of retail management experience, ideally within an environment with fresh foods.
- Some experience using Retail IT systems to understand stock and sales trends
- People skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- The ability to work in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic with a high level of confidence.
- A strong work ethic.
