Stock Room Manager Cork FMCG 

Blue Forge Recruitment is working with a large independent retail business in North Cork that is hiring an experienced Stock Room Manager to run their busy warehouse. This job is ideal for a retail manager or store room manager who enjoys working off the floor and running their own warehouse department. You will be working in a busy operation controlling large volumes of stock, with several large orders arriving daily including fresh foods. As the manager, it will be your job to uphold the standards, keep it running organised, and ensure the H&S and standards are maintained.

Salary between 35,000-40,000 DOE, full time position, pension and discount provided.

Responsibilities for this Store Room Manager Job

  • Oversee the daily operations of the store room, including inventory management, stock control, and order fulfillment.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely receipt, storage, and distribution of all goods and supplies
  • Maintain a well-organized and efficient store room, ensuring all items are properly labelled and stored in their designated locations.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and maintain accurate records of inventory levels.
  • Coordinate with other departments to fulfil their stock requirements and maintain adequate levels of supplies - Train and supervise store room staff,
  • Ensuring they adhere to company policies and procedures, mainly Health & Safety
  • Implement and maintain safety protocols and procedures for handling and storing hazardous materials Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to negotiate prices and ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Report any issues or concerns to management and propose solutions for improvement

Requirements for this Stock Room Manager job

  • A proven background of 2 years + supervisor or managing a store room environment ideally within FMCG retail or even hospitality
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management and stock control procedures
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills - Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively 
  • Proficient in using inventory management software
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of safety protocols for handling and storing hazardous materials
